原本这趟新加坡之旅只是看香港中乐团音乐会根本没注意到其他音乐的节目。就在前一个月突然发现金沙剧场正在上演迪斯尼的《狮子王》音乐剧，就直接买票。
8月31日，飞机抵达新加坡是已经是下午2点，到了Geylang的飞龙酒店已经是下午3时半。简单的洗刷后就乘巴士到Bugis再换乘地铁到Bayfront。
金沙购物中心的Rasapura Masters 忠食馆美食广场也找了很久才有张空桌子给我们，简单吃了最贵的小贩餐点后就赶往剧场。
金沙剧院位于滨海湾金沙购物商城的商业街 B1 层，由两个剧场组成，分为蓝色椅子的MasterCard Theatres万事达卡剧场和红色椅子的Grand Theater大剧场。从B1剧场前面是票务中心，票务柜台后面就是剧场商店，右边就是剧场大厅入口与检票处和安检。入口处有一个黄色背景，黑色《狮子王》的图案。
今天的商店里售卖《狮子王》的周边产品如钥匙扣，衣服，特刊等，以新币来计算当然不便宜。
经过验票就是安检关口。相机和大型包包，饮食都必须存放在寄存柜台。经过安检就是大厅，以白色装横，黄色灯光为主，地上是鲜艳夺目的长形地毡。楼高5层，对面是一条天梯通往剧场各楼层。大厅里又有另一个太阳升起的《狮子王》布景，旁边是剧场饮料小食贩卖柜台。柜台旁边就是电梯。
由于今天的门票不菲，即使买了最便宜的也要新币74元，位子更是在最高最后第排。从电梯上去第四层。从19门进入就是一排排的蓝色椅子。由于是最后第二排，每一排的椅子的落差非常大，行走进入是难免对胆小的人构成恐惧感，但在欣赏音乐剧时这落差设计才不会影响视线。确保每一排观众都能看到舞台全景。
晚上7时半一到，观众席灯光渐暗，舞台布幕的红色设计成了全场的焦点。舞台两旁都是各自一个乐手和令郎满目的打击乐器，指挥就站在舞台前，但是乐队与合唱就被黑布盖在舞台下面。
整个制作从舞美，灯光，音响，肢体动作，服装都达到不可挑剔的地步。整个舞台，从布景，地面，帷幕都是经过精心设计。
人物篇：
狮王木法沙（Mufasa）与刀疤（Scar）-头上戴着的一机械设计连接着颈项的狮子面谱。这狮子面谱可以在头上，或被拉到前面，如两兄弟对峙时，两个狮子面谱被拉到前面形成两只狮子互相瞪着对方。两者之间的面谱也有不一样的地方，狮王木法沙（Mufasa）的面谱与演员的化妆比较大气和威严，刀疤（Scar）的则比较瘦显得比较阴深。
莎拉碧（Sarabi）与众母狮-除了必须应付复杂舞步，头上的狮子头套（帽）加重了舞蹈复杂程度。
狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）-原本卡通的男性变成音乐剧版的女性。身材变成宽阔，色彩斑斓的面部装饰，是非洲土著与狒狒的形象的结合体。她以一个部落长老的身份，更像一个守护神为故事揭开序幕。拉飞奇（Rafiki）歌声低沉宽广，富有非洲的歌唱色彩。
小时候的辛巴（Simba）与娜拉（Nala）-两个小朋友都非常专业，除了舞步，台词，更需要骑到1公尺高的鸵鸟上。形态就处于一半狮子一半小孩间。
成年的辛巴（Simba）-虽然没有木法沙（Mufasa）的机械狮子面谱，而是跟莎拉碧（Sarabi）一样的头套。金黄色的面部和白色的狮毛，裸露上身，下身只穿到膝盖的黄色裙，让狮王形象更显大气。
成年的娜拉（Nala）头套为古铜色，身穿灰白棕色的服装，凸显母狮的颜色。
犀鸟札祖(Zazu)-演员以一边手操控身体与翅膀，另一边手操控棒子以让犀鸟头与脖子更具生动，有时刻伸长。舞者除了操控犀鸟生动活泼，自身的舞步台风也非常有美感，是非常严谨的训练才有的成果。
猫鼬丁满（Timon）-舞者前面有个布偶，舞者手脚链接铁枝操作着猫鼬丁满（Timon）的手掌与脚掌，走路的形态跟卡通的一模一样，滑稽中带着可爱的步伐与动作。
野猪彭彭（Pumba）-这是爆炸头的舞者带着野猪彭彭（Pumba），舞者前脚就是野猪彭彭（Pumba）的前脚，后脚细细的在空中自由晃动。舞者的脸部表情与野猪彭彭（Pumba）都是那么的呆头呆脑。
土狼hyenas: 桑琪（Shenzi）、阿德（Ed）、和班仔（Banzai）-三只土狼在动作到神情都有点狡猾但是有时却呆头呆脑。其中一只时常把舌头伸出来，与卡通的形象完全一样。演员半身在土狼肚子和脚里，土狼的头部也弯弯的，脊背的毛发却伸展到演员头上，说话也带有阴声阴气，形成鲜明的土狼形象。
其他动物-舞者以灰色纱布装扮的大象，犀牛，另有舞者摇曳着长棍让模仿鸟类飞翔着，斑马，花豹，禽鸟，羚羊等的舞者微妙微翘的模仿着各类动物的肢体语言让笔者大感意外，这种专业需要设计者了解动物的习性才能那么逼真的呈现。最令人惊叹的是长颈鹿，舞者手脚以相似踩高跷的模式逼真的长颈鹿走出舞台。
舞美篇：
开场前: 舞台布幕的红色设计成了全场的焦点。舞台两旁都是各自一个乐手和令郎满目的打击乐器，指挥就站在舞台前，但是乐队与合唱就被黑布盖在舞台下面。
Circle Of Life 《生生不息》:
舞台上的地面布置了很多图案，还隐藏轨道让荣耀石Pride Rock以旋转式阶梯在舞台上滑行旋转。
一条条的布组成圆形太阳图案在橙色背景钱从地面徐徐上升，配合烟雾弥漫的舞台呈现非洲大陆旭日东升的鲜明形象。
荣耀石 Pride Rock 造型上除了是一个旋转解体，外表也是一个突出台面的大石，与卡通《狮子王》的荣耀石不相上下，但形象比卡通上更加突出。
另一幕是狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）在非洲生命树（狐面包树baobab tree）绘上小狮子辛巴（Simba）的图案，生命树一2D如剪纸艺术在台前腾空而降，树木以黑影配以彩色的背景，然后以投影绘出小狮子辛巴（Simba）的图案，整个艺术效果让人赞叹！
"Grasslands Chant"《草原颂》:
大草原则以舞者头戴人工草，随着草舞者与动物的动作呈现出大草原的生动画面。
木法沙的弟弟刀疤（Scar）在的洞穴以半斜的布帘配合红色灯光，舞台上从右边伸出的斜台让刀疤（Scar）休息以营造出阴暗的洞穴。
"I Just Can't Wait to Be King" 《我要来当狮子王》:
这时舞台出现了卡通式的动物如五彩缤纷形态可爱的长颈鹿，鸵鸟。这种设计凸显了小孩子的思想世界与大人现实世界的不一样之处。高近2公尺的长颈鹿与鸵鸟更是今晚最高的动物。
"Chow Down" 《大快朵颐》:
危机四伏的大象墓地 elephant graveyard 先以薄纱的幕关着，隐隐约约如烟雾弥漫的恐怖场景。当薄纱被揭开，笔者才相信刚才的不是一个2D的画面，而是制作单位吧整个大象骨架分为两节接着一起，同样以舞台轨道自行运行。大象骨架如一个桥梁可从两旁上下。
"They Live in You"《活在你心中》:
黑暗的布幕出现点点发亮的星星，虽然草是假的，星空是假的，但是观众席看过去如真的万里晴空。只有星星陪草原。
"The Stampede"《惊逃狂奔》:
布景换成一圈圈的橙棕色，慢慢的一看发现就是一个山洞峡谷。这视觉效果太棒了，只是几片的不经就把一个3D有深度的峡谷营造出来。除了舞台前的牛羚面具舞者。第一个布幕后也有比较小的牛羚面具，最后一个圈以机械操作的牛羚面具在如汽车牙轮旋转。两层布幕间的舞动配合灯光真的把整个非洲的动物千军万马般的狂奔形象演活了。舞台旁边的幕更可以让狮王木法沙（Mufasa）攀登。
"Hakuna Matata"《无忧无虑》:
原本在卡通是这一幕是非常鲜艳夺目丛林画面，但是歌剧里只能以充气的花草植物代替。
"One by One" 《非洲灵韵》:
各个楼层都有演员舞蹈者杆子让系在上面的鸟旋转如在飞翔着。慢慢的曲终时五彩缤纷的鸟类变成象征死亡的秃鹰，舞台中间的象征湖水的蓝色布也中舞台中间的机关收起，模仿湖水干涸的景象。
"The Madness of King Scar" 《刀疤王的疯狂》:
幕中出现一堆动物的白骨，刀疤（Scar）躺在上面，旁边就是禁锢犀鸟札祖(Zazu)的笼子。
Endless Night" 《漫漫长夜》:
一条蓝色布象征着大河，以舞台剧来看，源自传统戏曲的方式用在现代的音乐剧配合更精准的灯光音响，也不显得老土。
"He Lives in You (Reprise)" 《活在你心中》:
舞台上以投影形成的点点星空再变为木法沙（Mufasa）的模样，考的就是一台高素质的投影器与出神入化的平面设计。金色的狮子王头像像是歌颂木法沙（Mufasa）在孩子心中的崇高地位。
音乐篇：
现场可以看到的是舞台两旁的打击乐收和舞台前方的指挥。由于乐队与合唱都在舞台下边一黑布遮盖，笔者只能从声音来判断。乐队应该是小型乐队加上合成器，但是音乐效果非常强，时而是非洲音乐素材的粗犷，时而是感人的和声。
舞台两旁的打击乐用了来自五湖四海的乐器，有非洲的，欧洲的与中国的乐器。不同乐段里，用来营造不同音乐效果。
独唱唱腔更是豪迈远传，深情，甜美让歌声直接击中心灵。合唱的声音更是画龙点睛。
在歌曲上很多的非洲语（最少是笔者听不懂的语言），有些是原本卡通的歌曲，有些则是新加的作品如"Shadowland" 《阴暗大地》，"Endless Night" 《漫漫长夜》和"One by One" 《非洲灵韵》。
场地篇：
金沙剧场Sands Theater的万事达卡剧场Mastercard Theater外面楼高4层，剧场里分为三层。
底楼 STALLS：前面比舞台低，然后渐渐升高。
一楼DRESS CIRCLE: 为最少席位的楼层，但是以视线来说是最好的，可以看到整个舞台与布幕。
二楼GRAND CIRCLE：其实真正来说是楼高两层。由于观众席的每排椅子间落差比较大，所以即使在最后一排的视线也不会被挡到，但是尽量选择中间席位为最美视觉效果。
以笔者的位子来说，虽然在二楼GRAND CIRCLE最后第二排，其音响仍然非常棒，每个音，或效果都非常逼真。
剧情篇：
音乐剧分为两幕多单元。中间隔着一段休息。
第一幕
Circle Of Life 《生生不息》
狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）在布幕前唱着非洲语言的歌曲为音乐剧揭开序幕。舞台两旁的羚羊配合合唱的和音唱出有野性的节奏接着就是主题曲 "Circle of Life"《生生不息》。一条条的布组成圆形太阳图案在橙色背景钱从地面徐徐上升，配合烟雾弥漫的舞台呈现非洲大陆旭日东升的鲜明形象。然后各种动物从舞台两旁与观众席慢慢的走上舞台。
荣耀石Pride Rock以旋转式阶梯配合舞台的隐藏轨道自己在舞台上滑行旋转。造型上除了是一个旋转解体，外表也是一个突出台面的大石，与卡通《狮子王》的荣耀石不相上下，但是形象上更加突出。尤其是当狮王木法沙（Mufasa），莎拉碧（Sarabi）与狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）高举起辛巴（Simba）的那一幕更是深入人心。
另一幕是狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）在非洲生命树（狐面包树baobab tree）绘上小狮子辛巴（Simba）的图案，生命树一2D如剪纸艺术在台前腾空而降，树木以黑影配以彩色的背景，然后以投影绘出小狮子辛巴（Simba）的图案，整个艺术效果让人赞叹！
"Grasslands Chant"草原颂
幕一换，小狮子辛巴（Simba）已经长大成为幼狮。狮王木法沙（Mufasa）在荣耀石Pride Rock上亲身教导辛巴（Simba）为生态平衡的重要以及王国的疆域，更叮咛辛巴（Simba）不能跨过，尤其是那片黑影笼罩的大象墓地 elephant graveyard。大草原则以舞者头戴人工草，随着草舞者与动物的动作呈现出大草原的生动画面。幼狮辛巴（Simba）与狮王木法沙（Mufasa）在舞者间穿越，直到旋转梯荣耀石Pride Rock再度出现。
充满好奇心的幼狮辛巴（Simba）到阴暗的洞穴去找舅舅，但是舅舅刀疤（Scar）因为不能成为大王而怀恨在心，进而特别对辛巴（Simba）提起大象墓地elephant graveyard。
"The Lioness Hunt" 《母狮巡猎》
一群母狮子在草原上奔跑，以头戴母狮帽的舞者穿梭在舞台间。羚羊更在狮子群中奔跑，像在被追杀，不管是狮子还是羚羊，舞者们的肢体动作还是那么的利落与仿真。辛巴（Simba）和青梅竹马的玩伴娜拉（Nala）计划到大象墓地elephant graveyard探险，更对母亲莎拉碧（Sarabi）和娜拉（Nala）的母亲萨拉菲娜（Sarafina）说谎以得到她们的同意。但是两个母亲同意也附带条件，就是必须有王国的顾问犀鸟札祖(Zazu)的陪伴。
"I Just Can't Wait to Be King" 《我要来当狮子王》
为了摆脱犀鸟札祖(Zazu)，辛巴（Simba）和娜拉（Nala）想出了鬼点子。这时舞台出现了卡通式的动物如五彩缤纷形态可爱的长颈鹿，鸵鸟。这种设计凸显了小孩子的思想世界与大人现实世界的不一样之处。高近2公尺的长颈鹿与鸵鸟更是今晚最高的动物，两小无猜的狮子更是骑在鸵鸟上，或穿梭在长颈鹿之间，把犀鸟札祖(Zazu)弄得团团转。
"Chow Down" 《大快朵颐》
危机四伏的大象墓地elephant graveyard先以薄纱的幕关着，隐隐约约如烟雾弥漫的恐怖场景。当薄纱被揭开。大象骨架如一个桥梁可从两旁上下，配合三只土狼hyenas: 桑琪（Shenzi）、阿德（Ed）、和班仔（Banzai）的鲜明演技，把非洲大陆晚上才出来猎食的土狼生态活现眼前。桑琪（Shenzi）、阿德（Ed）、和班仔（Banzai）除了身体语言其对话更滑富有贪婪性，尖酸刻薄的声调更把剧情里的小反派演活了。
土狼与两只小狮子紧张刺激的追逐，直到狮王木法沙（Mufasa）的出现才化解一场灾难。
狮王木法沙（Mufasa）教训辛巴（Simba）说莽撞不等于勇敢。黑暗的布幕出现点点发亮的星星，黑夜的草原只有木法沙（Mufasa）与辛巴（Simba）的对话。辛巴（Simba）问父亲，他们是不是可以永远在一起。狮王木法沙（Mufasa）把头上的狮子面具拿下放在草原旁，寓意着这是他不用以国王身份，而是一个父亲去与孩子沟通。木法沙（Mufasa）望了下夜晚的天空，回答说，虽然他不能永远和自己的儿子在一起，但会永远守护着辛巴（Simba）。这一句话也像是当年父亲对笔者说的一样，感触啊!
"Be Prepared" 《快准备》
场景转回大象墓园elephant graveyard，土狼们正舔拭他们的伤口，刀疤（Scar）出现在墓园里对土狼们讲述自己的合作计划，要土狼们一起推翻狮王木法沙（Mufasa）和杀掉辛巴（Simba），让自己登上王位后就会让土狼们不用再挨饿。
"The Stampede"《惊逃狂奔》
布景换成一圈圈的橙棕色，慢慢的一看发现就是一个山洞峡谷。这视觉效果太棒了，只是几片的不经就把一个3D有深度的峡谷营造出来。刀疤（Scar）带领辛巴（Simba）到了峡谷然后吩咐他在那里等待，说会有一个惊喜。
然后土狼吓唬牛羚，让他们在峡谷狂奔。
狮王木法沙（Mufasa）冲入峡谷，把辛巴（Simba）送到了安全处，但自己却处于危险之中。狮王木法沙（Mufasa）攀在峡谷峭壁上。刀疤（Scar）出现在峭壁上，将爪子刺入狮王木法沙（Mufasa）的臂膀，看着他坠落死去。
当狂奔的牛羚散去，空无人烟的峡谷只剩辛巴（Simba）看见了父亲的尸体。刀疤（Scar）欺骗他说，木法沙的死是他造成的。内疚的辛巴（Simba）悲痛自责的离开荣耀国。
"Rafiki Mourns" 《拉飞奇的悲歌》
面对着狮王木法沙（Mufasa）的尸体和失踪的辛巴（Simba），拉飞奇（Rafiki）与众狮子们悲痛的唱着悼歌。大奸角刀疤（Scar）再度出现夺得王位，并批准土狼进入荣誉国。
生命树（狐面包树baobab tree）再度出现，狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）把树上的小狮子辛巴（Simba）的图案抹掉，独留莎拉碧（Sarabi）和娜拉（Nala）在一旁哭泣
"Hakuna Matata"《无忧无虑》
奔跑的辛巴（Simba）终于筋疲力尽的倒在沙漠中。当秃鹰在他的头上盘旋时，猫鼬丁满(Timon)，和野猪彭彭（Pumba）赶走了秃鹰。
两只友善的动物很快就和辛巴成为了朋友，并把他带到丛林。丁满和彭彭把他们简单的哲学"Hakuna Matata"，也就是"无忧无虑"传授给辛巴（Simba）。辛巴很快学会了如何在丛林生活，并长成一只青年狮子。
原本在卡通是这一幕是非常鲜艳夺目丛林画面，但是歌剧里只能以充气的花草植物代替，虽然布景不能像卡通那样，但是靠着辛巴（Simba），猫鼬丁满（Timon），和野猪彭彭（Pumba）的演技，这一幕却比卡通青出于蓝。
"One by One" 《非洲灵韵》
休息20分钟后，第二幕在载歌载舞中开始，各个楼层都有演员舞蹈者杆子让系在上面的鸟旋转如在飞翔着。慢慢的曲终时五彩缤纷的鸟类变成象征死亡的秃鹰，舞台中间的象征湖水的蓝色布也中舞台中间的机关收起，像是湖水干涸。
"The Madness of King Scar" 《刀疤王的疯狂》
在刀疤（Scar）的统治下，国土失去生态平衡，土地变得荒瘠，动物纷纷离开。万物的循环已经被打破。
幕中出现一堆动物的白骨，刀疤（Scar）躺在上面，旁边就是禁锢犀鸟札祖(Zazu)的笼子。即使狮王木法沙（Mufasa）死去，刀疤（Scar）每一天仍然被这过去所困扰。可怜的犀鸟札祖(Zazu)每一天必须听 刀疤（Scar）发牢骚而没治理国土，连土狼们的缺乏食物的投诉也不理会。
"Shadowland" 《阴暗大地》
为了延续的血脉，刀疤（Scar）决定要一个自己的孩子，并盯上了漂亮的娜拉（Nala）。他尝试强占娜拉（Nala），但娜拉（Nala）奋力反抗，并就决定离开。在狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）和众狮子的祝福下，娜拉（Nala）开始了新的旅程。
"Endless Night" 《漫漫长夜》
舞台变成黑暗的星空，辛巴（Simba），丁满（Timon），和彭彭（Pumba）原本要歇息，但是辛巴（Simba）就是睡不着而自己四处走，有情有义的丁满（Timon），和彭彭（Pumba）也只好跟着。一条蓝色布横跨舞台，辛巴（Simba）轻而易举的跨过大河，不幸的是猫鼬丁满（Timon）被水冲到了瀑布。辛巴（Simba）景触及了父亲之死的记忆而不敢下水救丁满（Timon）。幸好丁满（Timon）冲到了瀑布边缘时被石头挡着救了一命。
到了夜晚，辛巴（Simba），丁满（Timon），和野猪彭彭（Pumba）仰望点点发亮的星空，思考他们的存在。辛巴（Simba）想起了他父亲的话语：祖先永远在守护他。辛巴（Simba）深情的唱出了"Endless Night" 《漫漫长夜》，每个个字，每一句词让人泪流满面。
远处的狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）从风中听到了辛巴（Simba）的歌声而感觉到辛巴（Simba）仍然活着。最终生命树（狐面包树baobab tree）再度出现，而狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）重新在树干绘上小狮子辛巴（Simba）的图案。
"Can You Feel the Love Tonight"《今夜感觉我的爱》
第二天早上，舞台出现了丛林的设计，舞台上下降的攀藤树，由舞者穿戴的芭蕉叶服装如同真正的树林。野猪彭彭（Pumba）被一只饥饿的母狮子正着追逐他。辛巴（Simba）冲过去帮助他的好友，与母狮扭斗在一起。在打斗中，辛巴（Simba）发现这只母狮正是他青梅竹马的娜拉（Nala），两人一段共处以後，他们坠入了爱河。
娜拉（Nala）将荣耀国的悲惨现状告诉了辛巴（Simba），祈求他能重返故地重建满目疮痍的荣誉国Pride land，但是辛巴（Simba）始终内疚父亲的死而拒绝了。
"He Lives in You (Reprise)" 《活在你心中》
正当辛巴（Simba）无助的在丛林中徘徊，他遇见了狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）。拉飞奇（Rafiki）告诉辛巴（Simba）说木法沙（Mufasa）并不是真正死去，他的灵魂仍在。正当辛巴（Simba）拒绝相信时，舞台上的闪闪星星聚集在一起组成了木法沙（Mufasa）的样子。木法沙（Mufasa）的金色头像在星空中告诉辛巴（Simba）重返荣耀国，让大地重归平衡。
"Simba Confronts Scar" 《辛巴与刀疤的战争》
当娜拉（Nala），猫鼬丁满（Timon），和野猪彭彭（Pumba）醒来时发现辛巴（Simba）不知去向。幸好狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）告知，他们四人终于在荣誉国Pride Lands相遇，但也捡到了生灵涂炭的国土。
舞台上再次出现荣耀石Pride Rock。猫鼬丁满（Timon），和野猪彭彭（Pumba）负责引开土狼，让娜拉（Nala），和辛巴（Simba）可以接近荣誉石Pride Rock.
这时正好刀疤（Scar）质问莎拉碧（Sarabi）为何狮子们都不打猎，莎拉碧（Sarabi）当面指责刀疤（Scar）的举动已经造成食物链中断，水源短缺，更将他与木法沙（Mufasa）相比。怒火中烧的刀疤（Scar）想伤害莎拉碧（Sarabi），却被在一旁的辛巴（Simba）所制止。刀疤（Scar）对突然出现的辛巴（Simba）感到震惊，想用同手段逼辛巴（Simba）承认自己害死父亲。被逼上荣誉石Pride Rock的辛巴（Simba）反而领悟了而反扑刀疤（Scar）逼使舅舅在众狮子前承认是自己是杀人凶手。当辛巴（Simba）想放他一条生路时，刀疤（Scar）反而再次攻击辛巴（Simba）。阴差阳错之下自己跌下山谷，被底下饥饿的的土狼分尸吃掉。
"King of Pride Rock/Circle of Life (Reprise)"《荣耀石之颂 / 生生不息》
新的一天来临了，辛巴（Simba）一国王身份登上了荣耀石的顶峰，一声有力的咆哮将所有的动物唤回到了荣耀石之下。娜拉（Nala）和辛巴（Simba）与狒狒拉飞奇（Rafiki）登上荣誉石，并高举着新生的小狮子，开始了新一轮的"生生不息" Circle of Life。
